The American version of this hugely successful farce was first produced in 1988 the response was so good a British version was then written and first produced in 1990. A riotously funny farce centres around the efforts of eight party guests to spare their unfortunate host, and themselves, from unfortunate scandal.
It opens with Ken and Chris who have found their host Charley, a prominent government official, in a compromising and potentially scandalous situation. Mysteriously there seems to be no one else around. The other couples then gradualy arrive on the scene. They each bring their own problems and issues to the party. With each set of arrivals the chaos and mayhem ramps up a gear.
